We are a multicultural family of 4 who loves traveling. Before kids, we took any opportunity we had to travel the world, spending between a month and three months backpacking through countries in South East Asia and Europe. In 2018 our family took off on a year-long trip and visited over 20 countries in 5 continents. It was an amazing experience! We first started this blog to share our travels with our friends and families but, since beginning our journey, we’ve received a lot of questions from friends about traveling with our kids, so we decided it might be useful if we also share our experiences, tips, and tricks! Someone inspired me to add color to this classic drawing of some of the prettiest Painted Ladies in San Francisco. I am so happy they did! To color it, I had to dig out the photo I used as reference, which I took back in 2012 or so. I initially thought about using Google street view as reference for colors, but sadly, many of these once colorful houses have now been painted over with gentrification grays and blues.

This week I started drawing another @lojascomhistoria_lisboa 🙌🏼 @papelaria_fernandes feels extra special to draw, because I actually love shopping for art supplies there! The façade is very wide so I drew this from 2 different photos I took since the whole storefront didn’t fit in one. It’s still very much a work in progress, but I just love the lines, lettering and basically everything else too! It’s going to look so pretty and I’m done! 🤩

I fell in love with this store front the first time I saw it. In fact, I like it so much that I drew it all over again just to add color to it! And this is the store front that has inspired me to draw more of the many historic stores and restaurants around Lisbon! I have a map full of pins, and I plan on slowly photographic most of them to then turn them into drawings! It sure is nice to have a long term project in my hands 😏
